In our aviation sector, environmental challenges and issues are of crucial importance to ATLANT SERVICES.
These values reflect a genuine commitment on our part, underlining the real investment and active participation of the entire team.
Given our geographical proximity to our customers, we adopted a simple CSR initiative: the acquisition of two electric vehicles. Thanks to the short distance between us and our customers and the limited number of journeys we make, these vehicles offer considerable autonomy for each use.
To promote this approach among our customers and reinforce our corporate identity, in 2019 we have decided to commit to the Objectif CO2 scheme, in particular through the EVE (Engagements Volontaires pour l'Environnement) program, detailed below.
Three charging stations have been installed on our premises to enable vehicles to be recharged.
ATLANT SERVICES has been committed to the Objectif C02 Charter since 2019, and has renewed it in 2022 with a CO2 emissions reduction target of 38.5%. Thanks to precise tools, a methodology and individual support from a project manager, we are implementing a specific action plan to reach our target.
It was in this context that we were awarded the "Best TRM (Transport Routier de Marchandises) progression" trophy at the Rendez-vous EVE 2023.
This participation testifies to the commitment of the entire transport and logistics sector to the environment.
Following this, we continued our drive to reduce energy and environmental impact with the acquisition of a 3rd vehicle.
In our business, we receive all our goods packaged in cartons, representing a significant volume on a daily basis. This required a lot of manpower to flatten and discard them.
In our industrial zone, there was no recycling system in place. The garbage cans provided were for all types of waste, with no specific sorting.
The accumulation of cardboard quickly saturated our garbage cans, resulting in high collection costs.
To remedy this, we decided to call on companies specializing in cardboard recycling. We also invested in a baling press, enabling us to halve our waste-related expenses and enhance our environmental commitment and performance.
Food waste is a sensitive issue in France, and we're working hard to combat the problem while reinforcing our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) approach.
In our line of business, we provide additional staffing for our customers to cover unforeseen needs, such as additional crews or flights. Unfortunately, these funds often go unused and remain available at the end of operations.
To solve this problem, we have set up an initiative in partnership with the Red Cross. Every day, the Red Cross collects unused benefits and redistributes them to people in need.
Finally, internally, we have decided to install water fountains, which means we no longer use individual water bottles, thus reducing our plastic consumption and optimizing our costs.
ATLANT SERVICES is fully committed to a CSR approach that grows stronger every year, by implementing simple actions as well as more complex initiatives. We have made our teams aware of these best practices and fully share this commitment.
